Your first useful browser task
Start with a short task, not a tour of every control. You will check the account, create a conversation, inspect the answer and reopen it. Sample outputs are illustrations.
Enter through the official site
Open Claude through its official website and sign into the intended account. Inspect the domain and personal or organizational context before uploading anything. No extension, Desktop installation, API key or paid upgrade is needed for this small Chat exercise.
Sources checked on September 30, 2026 describe changing Chat/Cowork entry points during rollout. Look for the intended workflow rather than matching an old screenshot. Chat produces answers; Cowork can perform multi-step tasks; Code works on development tasks and configured environments.
Give the browser a bounded task
Turn these fictional meeting notes into three tasks.
For each, give action, owner and deadline only when supplied.
Mark missing details as not supplied. Do not send or schedule anything.
Dana checks the presentation by Thursday.
A room needs booking; owner and deadline are missing.
Yoav prepares the participant list; no deadline was chosen.

Check that room booking was not assigned to Dana and no calendar date was invented for Thursday. Browser access does not mean Claude sees your email, disk or calendar.
Revise and reopen
Roni will book the room. The deadline remains undecided.
Update only that task, preserving every other fact and missing detail.
Check the updated owner and unchanged deadline. Give the conversation a findable name through the available controls, return to history and reopen it. An answer in chat is not an executed task list.
Practice at three levels
Easy: correct account and output
Create the conversation. Success: three accurate tasks and no invented fields.
Intermediate: focused update
Add the room owner. Success: no unrelated changes.
Challenging: access boundaries
Explain the difference between pasting text, uploading a file and connecting a service. Success: no assumption of automatic computer access.
Troubleshooting
Missing feature: check plan, organizational controls and rollout before changing permissions.
History not found: check the same account and whether the conversation was temporary.
Upload request unexpectedly broad: cancel and use the small pasted example.
Wrong answer: correct against the source and inspect the revision. A valid login does not make generated content correct.
